Eduardo Bancalari, the focus of my interests is neonatal immunology and diagnosis and treatment of neonatal sepsis. As the first in Poland (1995), I used granulocyte growth factor (G-CSF) in the treatment of neonatal sepsis complicated by leucopenia. In my research, I compared different schedules of perioperative antibiotic therapy. I examined the non-specific response in the asphyxiated term and preterm neonates. Important part of my work are congenital malformations and neonatal intensive care. Six years ago, I organized the only in Poland ECMO center for neonates with severe respiratory failure.
