Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Master’s Degree in animal health and production, PhD in animal health and production & Fellow of College of Veterinary Surgeons Nigeria with a specialization in Fish Production. I worked for thirteen years variously as Farm/Veterinary Manager and livestock Production Manager as well as a livestock consultant before joining the University to teach and research. (Details as contained in the CV). My research interests include growth promoters such as probiotics, phytogenics and organic acids which are useful alternatives to antibiotic growth promoters. Antibiotic growth promoters have been banned in most parts of the world due to the problem of development of antibiotic resistant strains of microorganisms. Application of probiotics, prebiotics and synbiotics in animal health and production. Determination of these biotherapeutic modes of action, optimum levels of supplementation and best routes of administration in different animal models to enhance productive performance of livestock.
